In exploring forgiveness as a qualifier for God's level of forgiveness to you (Matt 6:12, 14, 15) how will you approach forgiveness in your life?

Yesssss! I just wish it were easier sometimes. I get hung up on forgiving myself. I get it that God is amazing and Christ is phenomenal, what I have a hard time getting to is that I deserve forgiveness. The point is that none of us do and that is what is so amazing about grace. Freedom also equals peace.
thanks for chiming in.

It is so hard to forgive ourselves! And sometimes family too. It's too bad we are so critical of ourselves and those closest to us.

Yes, and I think that is the point that is so relevant when we explore forgiveness. The whole point is that God sees us in such a different way than we see ourselves. I believe he sees us in our potential perfection. He knows the possibilities and the joy we can achieve through him. I once wrote a devotional about how much I enjoyed watching a mother bird in her daily work. I believe God finds such pleasure in us. We are joy to him. And he believes in us, or he wouldn't have sent Jesus. So while we get disappointed and hurt, and we hang on to the knots we make within ourselves, God is all about learning and letting go. Going forward! Dealing with the tough stuff and moving forward! Moving forward on the path of life in Christ.
